ADRA Salutes Ron Strecker

Ron Strecker, a truck driver by trade from Moline, IL travels the US to support his style of racing; ATV asphalt drags. To Ron it doesn’t matter whether it’s for exhibition, trophy or cash, it’s all about promoting the sport he loves.

Ron’s nonprofit website Planet Asphalt provides information and forums for other ATV asphalt draggers around the country. He took over the site last year from a sponsor, Fireball Racing with intentions of creating a home for all ATV asphalt draggers. His hard work in promoting the site and sport has paid off, the list of members has grown to 652 and he gets over 150,000 views a week at http://www.atvdraggers.com.

Ron started ATV asphalt drag racing in 1993 after prior stints in
motocross, mud and sand drags. Memphis 2008 was Ron’s first ArmDrop
race with his custom built 710 cc Yamaha Banshee and from that point
on he was hooked. We have seen Ron at a few more events since then and
we know he plans on hitting at least three more in 2009.

ArmDrop Racing Association wants to thank Ron for his dedication to
racing and particularly Armdrop Racing. It is this type of unselfish
love for drag racing, racers, and fans that is what ArmDrop Racing
Association is all about. We tip our hats to Ron and all those like
him that are working hard like we are to keep drag racing alive and
tracks open.
